Chillicothe Family Pharmacy was born out of the idea that the healthcare and quality of life for the residents of Chillicothe, MO and the surrounding communities could be improved through the increased use of the knowledge and skills of a pharmacist.
Since graduating from pharmacy school over 15 years ago, pharmacist/owner, Scott Cady, Pharm.D., has had a passion to serve his community by passing along healthcare information in a way both patients and healthcare professionals can understand. With this understanding, Dr. Cady then helps his patients integrate this knowledge into their everyday lives, thus improving their quality of life.
Scott Cady, Pharmacist/Owner
Scott Cady grew up in Lenexa, KS. He earned a Bachelor Degree in Biology from Baylor University in Waco, TX and his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Kansas in 2006.
Prior to attending Pharmacy school, Scott worked in Phase I Pharmaceutical Research. After graduation, he worked as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital setting in addition to working at a retail pharmacy. Later, Scott transitioned to working only in retail pharmacies, which he enjoys because it gives him greater opportunity and access to communicate with the patients he serves.
He has lived in Chillicothe since 2005 with his wife, Mary, and their four children, Ben, Ella, Anna and Ezekiel. Dr. Cady has served for several years on the Board of Directors of Hedrick Medical Center, the Missouri Pharmacists Association, and on the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Board for the North Missouri region. He also loves the outdoors and sports, especially duck hunting and golf. Scott is a member of the Chillicothe United Methodist Church. He enjoys volunteering for the church as well coaching youth soccer.
Jennifer Powell, Pharmacist (part-time)
Jennifer joined the team in 2018. Jennifer received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida in 2013. She also completed a PGY-1 residency post-graduation from her pharmacy program.
Jennifer began her career as a hospital pharmacist in Florida where she earned, and maintains, her credentials as a board-certified critical care pharmacist and board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist.
Jennifer is from a military family but called Florida home until relocating to Chillicothe with her husband, Chris. Chris is a local family pastor at a local church. They have two children, James and Claire. Jennifer is highly involved in their church sharing her gift of a great singing voice. She also enjoys music, reading and travel.
Aubrey Jessen, Pharmacist (part-time)
Aubrey joined the team in 2024. Aubrey is a 2023 graduate of the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy.
Aubrey has a passion for independent pharmacy and working closely with members of the community to ensure they receive the best care possible. Aubrey enjoys working closely with patients and helps teach Diabetes Education Classes.
Aubrey is originally for Gallatin, Missouri. She and her husband, Drew, welcomed the daughter, Maisey, in 2024. Aubrey enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading and traveling.
Shannon Jordan, Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) & Respiratory Therapist
Shannon is a member of the original team. She joined the team as Lead Technician bringing nearly thirty years of healthcare experience as a Respiratory Therapist and Healthcare Administrator. Shannon earned her Associate Degree in Respiratory Care from Pueblo Community College, her Bachelor Degree in Healthcare Administration from Empire State College. In addition Shannon holds credentials as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
Shannon grew up in colorful Colorado before relocating to Chillicothe where she met and married her husband Dusty. They have two grown daughters, Brittany and Whitney, as well as seven grandchildren. When not working, Shannon enjoys spending time with family, lake life, crafting & traveling.
Karin Garr, Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), Community Healthcare Worker (CHW)
Karin joined the team in 2018 having spent twenty years in the banking industry. She received her Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in 2019. She earned her credentials as a Certified Healthcare Worker in 2023.
Karin is originally from Bethany but now resides in Chillicothe with husband Brain. The couple has 2 daughters, Kaitlyn & Izzy, and 2 grandchildren. Karin is a member of the St. Columban Catholic Church. When not working Kairin enjoys spending time with family and neighbors, and crafting.
Katie Worman, Pharmacy Technician
Katie joined the team in 2020 having spent her prior professional career in customer service & hospitality. She is a native to Chillicothe and a graduate of Chillicothe High School.
Katie is engaged to fiancé Brent and has two kids Mason and Margo. When not working, Katie enjoys spending time with family, good food, being outside and traveling.
Amanda McLain, Pharmacy Technician (part-time)
Amanda joined the team in 2024. She is a graduate of Meadville High School.
Amanda was raised in the area where she met and married her husband, Doug. They have 2 children, Macy & Malaki. Amanda is a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. When not working Amanda enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling (particularly somewhere warm).
Alli George, Pharmacy Technician (part-time)
Alli joined the team in 2024. Alli is a senior at Chillicothe High School. She will graduate in May and plans to continue her education at North Central Missouri College.
When not working Alli loves all things outdoors farming, fishing, hunting, shooting etc.
Isabella Watson, Pharmacy Technician (part-time)
Bella joined the team in 2024. Bella is a 2024 graduate of Hale High School. She is currently pursing a degree at North Central Missouri College.
When not studying or working Bella enjoys horses and her dogs.
Arisha Shafiq, Pharmacy Technician (part-time)
Arisha joined the team in 2024. Alli is currently a junior at Chillicothe High School. She will graduate in 2026 and plans to continue her education in healthcare.
